Owners and Staff from Audley Villages and Mayfield Villages triumphed during Foundation Week raising an incredible £8075.00 for The Foundation.
Throughout the villages, during the week of Sunday 21st to Sunday 28th May, an array of fundraising events took place from Bake Off’s and Car Washes to Sponge Throwing and Hair Cutting. It was a fun packed week of activities for everyone.
The team at Mayfield Watford, led by Oliver Ruggles, Sales Consultant, held a traditional sports day with an Egg & Spoon Race, Bean Bag toss and even had their General Manager, Nick Vincent in the stocks for wet sponge throwing!
Oliver told us: “We wanted to try something different for foundation week this year, something to really to get our owners involved and the sports day was a great choice. The owners loved it and it really brought out their competitive side! We started the day with 4 owners on each team and ended the day with closer to 15! It’s a wonderful thing to be able to raise money for such a good cause, especially when we get out owners involved in the process.”
At Audley St Elphins Park, two members of staff raised funds by cutting off their hair, a remarkable way to raise funds. Whilst our owners at Audley Inglewood opted for a more civilised Cream Tea, with a personalised ‘Audley’ cake.
The week finished with all the villages participating in the ‘Audley Cycle’, cycling on a stationary bike to complete the 650-mile journey cross country from Audley Clevedon to Audley Stanbridge Earls. Ann, from Audley Sunningdale Park contributed an outstanding 99.5 miles to the challenge! Well Done Ann!
A big thank you to all owners and staff that took part. The funds raised will be donated to charities chosen by Audley Owners, and that support older, lonely, and less fortunate members of society.
